美国宇航局2007年探索与发现大事记

据yubanet网站2007年12月17日报道，2007年，美国宇航局进一步对太阳系进行了探测，扩大了我们对地球及地球在宇宙中的位置的认知，建造了国际空间站。太空船完成了三次完美成功的飞行，继续按照将宇航员送往月球的设计项目要求对空间站进行组装和修建。美国宇航局宇航员们将在月球上修建一个永久性前哨站，为最终火星之旅做准备。美国宇航局对火星和小行星带进行了太空科学探测。地球科学卫星获得了大量重要的发现，比如发现洋流和南极州冰流是如何影响海平面以及世界上最大的大冰原。

为重返月球设计的星座构造系统

美国宇航局在2007年开始为未来太空探测打基础。美国宇航局星座项目对星座计划提供支撑。该项目正在开发2020年宇航员重返月球所使用的下一代太空船和系统。2007年所有“战神I”号火箭开发的重要合同都已经签定。美国宇航局在全国范围内挑选安全帽、起重机和推土机等设备。美国已经开始在美国陆军新墨西哥州拉斯库希斯市白沙导弹试射场进行修建工作。美国宇航局将在2008年在白沙导弹试射场进行星座计划的首次试射。

在美国宇航局位于佛罗里达州的肯尼迪航天中心，工人们正在39－B星座发射台上修建一个新的防雷系统。一个新的火箭发动机静止试验支架将在密西西比州的美国宇航局斯塔尼斯航天中心架设。美国宇航局月球建筑师们向外透露了修建一个月球前哨站和小型加压漫步者的详细计划。小型加压漫步者将成对行动，宇航员们可以住在里面从一个驻地前往另外一个驻地。美国宇航局的工程师们同时还在寻找在地球上类似月球环境的地点对月球设备进行测试的机会，比如亚利桑那沙漠和南极州冻土地带。

女性指挥官之间的历史性握手

太空船指挥官帕姆.梅尔罗和国际空间站远征16队队长佩吉.惠特森在10月25日“发现号”飞船停靠国际空间站时创造了历史，对接后他们进行了握手。因为这两位女性握手是在地球上空200英里处，因此她们成为了首个女性飞船指挥官和空间站任务指挥官。惠特森同时还是首位指挥空间站的女性指挥官，她在轨道上呆的总时间超过了其它所有女性宇航员。

发射“凤凰”号探测器

美国宇航局“凤凰”号探测器于2007年8月4日从佛罗里达州卡纳维拉尔角空军基地发射升空，开始其九个月的火星探测之旅。该机器人登陆车计划于2008年5月25日抵达红色星球，开始对火星的北极区域进行近距离探测。“凤凰”号探测器将是首个探测火星水冻冰层的探测器。“凤凰”号探测器的机械臂将挖掘据信位于火星表面土层之下的冰层。该机器人探测器将对冰中水的历史进行研究，监控极地地区的气候，调查火星远北极平原地下环境是否曾经适合维持微生物的生命。

继续扩充国际空间站

美国宇航局在六月、八月和十月进行了三次成功的太空飞船任务，为国际空间站运送部件，增加了国际空站的尺寸、空间和动力。2007年空间站制造的电流和使用量翻了一番多。空间站六个太阳能电池板现在的面积扩大了半英亩多。美国宇航员和俄罗斯宇航员安全地进行了22次太空行走，以修建和维护空间站。12月18日计划进行第23次太空行走。这刷新了单年份太空行走次数的记录。

“冷若冰霜”

科学家们使用美国宇航局卫星发现了南极州下面很大的一个快速流动的冰流网络。这些冰流为我们提供了这些系统“泄露”影响海平面的线索，并带领科学家们发现了世界上最大的冰原。美国宇航局水卫星上搭载的中分辨率成像分光辐射计设备提供的数据和美国宇航局冰云和陆地高度卫星所搭载的地球科学激光测高计系统提供的数据提供了三年时间内一个大型冰下湖泊之上的冰表面及其周围区域高度变化的多维图。这些高度变化显示湖泊在向海洋排水。

电路芯片技术突破

美国宇航局的研究人员们设计和制造了一种新型硅金刚砂减法电路放大器集成电路芯片。该集成电路芯片在500摄氏度下持续工作时间超过4,000小时。这一技术突破使芯片工作时间比以前延长了100倍。在此之前，此类集成电路芯片只能在这样高的温度下工作几小时时间。这一极端耐用的晶体管和封闭工艺将使更加小型的集成电路在恶劣的环境之下（比如喷气式发动机和长距离飞行太空船的高热部件）进行传感和控制电子设备时能够保持高功能表现。

新的人类太空飞行记录

2007年美国宇航员创造了两项新的人类太空飞行记录。美国宇航局国际空间站第14和第15远征队飞行工程师苏尼塔.威廉姆斯破了单次女性太空飞行时间的记录，她在轨道上连续呆了195天时间。她同时还完成了首次女性太空行走，花费了29小时17分钟进行了四次太空行走。她还是首个在轨道上进行马拉松赛跑的宇航员。在4月份第14次远征任务结果之际，威廉姆斯的同事迈克.洛皮兹.阿兰格里率领所有宇航员进行了10次太空行走，耗时67小时40分钟。两次太空船飞行和呆在空间站的时间加起来，洛皮兹.阿兰格里共执行了215天的空间站任务，这是美国宇航员最长的单人太空飞行记录。

恒星能量

美国宇航局钱德拉X射线太空望远镜和地面光学望远镜观测到有史以来最耀眼的恒星爆炸。这一发现表明，早期宇宙中超巨大恒星剧烈爆炸现象相当普遍，我们银河系中类似爆炸可能正在日益临近。这一新超新星为我们提供了难得的观测首批恒星死亡的机会。发现这个巨大恒星和目睹其死亡对人类是史无前例的发现。超新星的发现提供了此类巨型恒星死亡从根本上不同于理论上所预测的证据。

先进新型飞机成功试飞

2007年美国宇航局航空研究任务董事会与空军研究实验室和波音幻影工厂共同在美国宇航局德来顿飞行研究中心完成了X－48B翼身融合体先进飞机的飞行实验。该飞机是一种结合了最好的常规管翼飞机优良品质的混合结构飞机。该飞机具有满足未来下一代空中运输系统低噪音、低温室气体排放和高性能要求的潜力。经过特定的设计修改后，翼身融合体同时还具有比目前飞机更短的起飞和着陆距离。实验对X－48B飞机的基本飞行品质和机载飞行控制系统的效用进行了论证。

公布全球探测战略

美国宇航局和13个来自世界各地的太空机构于2007年5月公布了一个全球探测战略的框架协议。该协议文件题为“全球探测战略：合作框架”。该合作框架反映出世界各国希望共同分享探测太阳系，寻找某些可能适合人类生活和工作地点的观点。这是向制定一个综合性全球方案所迈出的重要一步。合作框架同时还允许单个国家可以与所有国家分享他们的探测战略和努力，以便使他们的探测目标变得更加有用。
